| Latest addition to the Egham restaurant scene, Banks is a warm, friendly and relaxed venue in which to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rapidly becoming one of the busiest spots in the area, due primarily to the professional standards of management and the superb food prepared by the chef and co-proprietor, Banks offers an all-day menu of sandwiches, salads, burgers and main courses - all at very reasonable prices. The regularly changing dinner menu has something for everyone and is supplemented by daily specials on the blackboard. |

| The distinctive tiling and cashier's booth in Banks - Cafe, Bar and Restaurant belie the buildings heritage. From the 1800's the site was used as George Perkins' Butcher Shop. The butcher's tradition was carried on over the years by the Aspland family and, from the 1930's, the Clarke family. The Clarke family continued to trade in the premises (serving the Queen Mother in the process) until the 1990's when the site was converted to Mann's Chinese restaurant. A further passing of hands saw Banks - Cafe, Bar and Restaurant open it's doors to the public on 8th October 2002. We hope the unique decor of the heritage protected tiling instils a feeling of history and, ultimately, creates an ambiance conducive to a pleasurable dining experience. |
